How to See Your UniFi Network and Cameras

You need two free apps on your phone or tablet: UniFi (Network) and UniFi Protect.

On an iPhone or iPad

• Open the App Store.
• In Search, type UniFi and install it.
• Search again for UniFi Protect and install it.

On an Android phone

• Open the Google Play Store.
• In Search, type UniFi and install it.
• Search again for UniFi Protect and install it.

Now we make a UniFi account. This uses your email address. Use the same email where you want to receive the invitation.

• Open the UniFi app (Network app) on your phone.
• Tap Create account or Sign up.
• Type your email address and choose a password.
• Write the password down somewhere safe.
• If UniFi sends you a “verify your email” message, open it and tap the button inside.

Your installer will send an invitation to connect your UniFi account to the UniFi Console (your network and cameras).

• On your phone, open your email app (Gmail, Outlook, Mail, etc.).
• Look in your Inbox for an email from Ubiquiti / UniFi.
• The subject will say something like “You have been invited” or “UniFi Console invitation”.
• Open the email and tap the big button that says Accept Invitation or similar.
• If it asks you to sign in, use the same email and password from Step 2.

After you accept the invitation, your UniFi Console will appear inside both apps.

• Open the UniFi app.
• Sign in if it asks for your email and password.
• You should see a box with a name like “Home”, “Office”, or your business name.
• Tap that box to open it and see your Wi-Fi and devices.

To see your cameras:

• Open the UniFi Protect app.
• Sign in with the same email and password.
• Tap the same UniFi Console name.
• You should now see your camera views.
